Grace Baptist Church Presents Christmas with grace

We invite you to join Grace Baptist Church on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at 6:00pm as Grace presents the world renowned Opera Noire in "Pinnacle Music on Good Soil." This event is intended to help Grace raise funds to support the expansion of its programs and services in Mount Vernon, New York, the surrounding community, and the global village. We thank you in advance for your support.

Opera Noire of New York is the city's newest performance and resource company dedicated to the advancement of Afro-American Classical Singers.

Founded by Kenneth Overton, Robert Mack and Barron Coleman, Opera Noire of New York has over 60 members to date. Opera Noire of New York is a performing arts organization led by African American singers in pursuit of a serious performing career. Our mission is to empower members to achieve their full potential in a mutually supportive environment which promotes effective training, constructive sharing, and unselfish generosity. Our vision is to provide every member the opportunity to develop vocally, dramatically and artistically, which in turn fosters self-confidence and personal growth.

This amazing event was produced by The Manhattan Center's DeVasha Lloyd and hosted by Emmy-Award winning actress, Lynn Whitfield. Manhattan's own Opera Noire of New York honored the achievements of African American Singers in an extraordinary concert of Opera scenes from classical and romantic composers ranging from Mozart to Gershwin.
